Daily Prayer for Wednesday

And in him all things hold together

…and in him all things hold together

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Colossians 1: 15-17)

Dear Lord Jesus, Father and Holy Spirit,

Past, Present, and Future – Height, Depth, and Width… We see the presence of each person of the God Head reflected in the three dimensions of time and space. What a comfort it is to know that you are in control of this Universe you placed us in. We give you special thanks today Dear LORD, for your gift of time. It is an integral part of the order of your creation. As we go through our busy day today, remind each of us to look around at our many blessings and realize how great and awesome you truly are. Keep us mindful that every physical and spiritual blessing we have belongs to you and comes from you. Lead us to glorify you in our work and in our play, with our words and with our actions. Keep us connected to you by faith throughout our day. According to your will, bring each of us safely home again this evening. Grant us the gift of sleep and rest and wake us in the morning refreshed, and with eager anticipation to serve you another day.

In Your holy name we pray, confident that you will hear us, and answer according to your will for us. Amen.
